Week 14 comes to a close as the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants face off on Monday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET from MetLife Stadium, and the Packers enter as road favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Here are some of the best options to consider as you prepare your DFS lineup strategy for this Monday night matchup.
NFL DFS Showdown strategy: Packers vs. Giants
Jordan Love, QB, Green Bay Packers ($6000)
Love has really stepped things up over the last few weeks after a very shaky start to the season. With wins over the Lions and the Chiefs now on his resume, Love is getting into the swing of things in Green Bay. While a few of his favorite targets are questionable or out this week, he should still be a high earner in this matchup.
Saquon Barkley, RB, New York Giants ($7100)
There aren’t many options for the captain’s chair on the Giants this week — and even Barkley is something of a risk. While he’s had regular Barkley-like weeks throughout most of the season, there are always the outliers. Last week, he finished with just 12 carries for 46 yards. The Packer have a middle-of-the-road rushing defense, so Barkley should be back to a high-production week.
Dontayvion Wicks, WR, Green Bay Packers ($3800)
Wicks is more of a budget pick this week, but he should see more action than usual on the field with Christian Watson out. He’s the next man in at WR, and has put together some solid weeks as of late — he finished with three receptions for 43 yards against the Packers, and three for 91 yards against the Chargers.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers ($5000)
Doubs will be the unquestioned WR1 in this pass-friendly Packers offense with Christian Watson out, and should be Love’s top target here. The Giants’ pass defense ranks toward the bottom of the league, so we can expect Doubs to have a field day with Love.
Players to Avoid
Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants ($3300)
Slayton performed well against the Commanders a few weeks ago, but other than that, he has been a low earner this season. The Packers allow the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, and Slayton is also struggling with a third-string QB under center.
Matt Breida, RB, New York Giants ($4200)
The Packers’ rushing defense is nothing special, but Breida will lose out on carries to Barkley here and won’t see much playing time. Avoid taking the risk on the RB2 here.
