The Minnesota Vikings take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 14, and the week will bring the much-awaited return of Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Jefferson has been on injured reserve since early October, and has yet to play with quarterback Josh Dobbs.
How will this affect WR Jordan Addison’s fantasy earnings this week? Let’s take a look.
Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings WR Jordan Addison
Addison has been the leading receiver for Minnesota since Jefferson’s injury, but he hasn’t been putting up the same receiving numbers that Jefferson did before he was injured. In his most recent game, Addison finished with six receptions for 39 yards.
Start or sit in Week 14 PPR leagues?
If you’ve been starting Addison this season and have been happy with his output, then go ahead and keep him in this week, but if you’re on the fence, I would lean against starting him. He has already seen a downturn in receiving yards in his last few games, and with the return of Jefferson, his opportunities will decrease. After Dobbs threw four interceptions against the Bears, I’d be hesitant to go all-in on the Vikings offense here.
Start or sit in Week 14 standard leagues?
Addison’s yardage has been fairly middle-of-the-road in recent weeks, and we can expect to see it stay about the same or decrease with the return of Jefferson.
Player(s) you would start ahead of Jordan Addison
Look at Romeo Doubs from Green Bay and Noah Brown in Houston as alternative options to Addison this week. Both are now covering for injured teammates and may see an uptick in targets and yardage.
