The Seattle Seahawks take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday, December 10. The Seahawks’ running back room has been plagued with the injury bug over the last few weeks. We break down how to handle the Seattle RBs in fantasy this week.
Fantasy football start sit advice: Seahawks RBs
Charbonnet was listed as questionable with a knee issue heading into the game, but head coach Pete Carroll said he “looks good” and sounded optimistic about his chances. Charbonnet has seen an increased role over the last few weeks while Walker was sidelined with an injury. He had 19 carries for 60 yards against the Cowboys last week and grabbed his first touchdown of the season, adding a 39-yard reception to his final stat line.
However, with Charbonnet’s knee issues and Walker’s return, we may see him revert to earlier-season fantasy earnings this week. The Niners also have one of the best rushing defenses in the country, which we saw on full display as they shut down Philadelphia last week. Charbonnet may be better on the bench this week.
Kenneth Walker III
Walker is still listed as questionable, as well, but is reportedly set to return after missing several weeks with an oblique injury. He was a full practice participant on Friday, which is a good sign. Walker will still be going up against the Niners defense, which will likely limit his potential this week, but we can expect him to see the majority of carries for Seattle this week.
Before his injury, Walker had a huge game in both passing and rushing yards against the Commanders. If you’re going to start a Seahawks RB this week, Walker is the one to start, but just keep in mind how the Eagles looked against San Francisco last week. Walker has potential this week, but he won’t be a guaranteed high earner.
Can you play both Charbonnet and Walker in the same lineup?
With the Niners defense coming up against them, I would diversify my RB starters rather than bet on the Seahawks alone. Don’t go all-in on Seattle this week.
