While your tight end selection probably won’t win your DFS matchup, a bad selection can result in a loss. Here’s a look at three good value tight end plays.
NFL DFS Picks, Week 13: TE value plays
Pat Freiermuth , Steelers vs. Cardinals, $4,300
Freiermuth returned from injured reserve last week and caught nine of his targets for 120 yards in Pittsburgh’s win over Cincinnati. The Steelers’ offense showed some explosiveness that was lacking under previous offensive coordinator Matt Canada, which could be a boon to Freiermuth against the Patriots lowly defense.
Evan Engram, Jaguars vs. Cincinnati Bengals, $4,500
Engam’s going against a Bengals defense that allowed 120 yards to Freiermuth last week, which should result in a big week from the Jaguars tight end. He’s had at least six targets in 10 straight games and has recorded a catch of 20+ yards in four of his last five games.
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns vs. Los Angeles Rams, $4,100
Njoku caught six of his nine targets for 59 yards last week in the Browns’ loss to the Boncos. More importantly, he seems to be quarterback-proof, as he’s recorded 330 yards over the last six weeks as the Browns have cycled through quarterbacks. With Amari Cooper limited, Njoku should be one of the team’s pass-catching options, no matter who’s throwing the ball.
