Top QB value plays for daily fantasy football in Week 13

We go over some of the best cheap options at QB for the main slate on DraftKings this Sunday.

No one would have predicted Jordan Love to finish with a solid 26.6 fantasy points in Week 12, making him a top-five fantasy quarterback in last week’s slate. Then again, perhaps an anticipated NFC North rivalry matchup was the game script needed to make him an incredible DFS play in hindsight.

With that in mind, here are some of the best value quarterback plays for DFS as we look ahead to the Week 13 slate, with prices courtesy of DraftKings.

NFL DFS Picks, Week 13: QB value plays

Sam Howell, Commanders vs. Dolphins, $6,200

The Commanders enter as favorites against the Dolphins, but the negative game script will likely work in Howell’s favor. The second-year quarterback is averaging 20.6 DFKP per game this season, but if Miami jumps out to an early double-digit lead, Washington could run with Howell throwing often as a means of playing catch-up.

The Commanders signal-caller leads in the NFL with 486 pass attempts, which means that if a good portion of this DFS scoring comes via garbage time, DFS players will gladly take that scenario.

Brock Purdy, 49ers vs. Eagles, $6,100

Purdy leads all quarterbacks with a 112.3 passer rating heading into Week 13 and has played himself into the MVP conversation. The last time we saw him at Lincoln Financial Field, his day was cut short with an elbow injury. The Eagles are allowing the second-most DKFP per game (23.5) to opposing quarterbacks, and their secondary is not nearly as stout as they were a season ago.

So long as Purdy has his full arsenal of offensive targets at his disposal, he’ll remain one of the best value plays at quarterback for Week 13.

Russell Wilson, Broncos vs. Texans, $5,700

If the Texans and promising rookie quarterback CJ Stroud are ready to play through the air early and often on Sunday, Wilson and the surging Broncos should be ready. The veteran is averaging 18.1 DKFP per game this season and has thrown a touchdown in every single contest.

He’s not at his old All-Star level, but he’s slowly become an embodiment of consistency. Now he’ll face a Texans defense that is allowing the sixth-most DKFP per game (20.9) to opposing quarterbacks, which means a potential big game would make him one of the best bargains available for DFS players.
