The Denver Nuggets have looked stellar in their championship defense as they remain near the top of the Western Conference to begin the 2023-24 season, but they’ll look to welcome back one of their top players. Jamal Murray, who suffered a hamstring injury at the beginning of the month, is officially considered day-to-day moving forward. Here’s the latest on his status for the contest Wednesday against the Rockets.
Jamal Murray injury updates
Update: Murray is officially in and will start for the Nuggets in Wednesday’s game against Houston.
Update: According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Murray will suit up for the Nuggets tonight.
Murray has officially been listed as questionable, and he’s likely going to carry this designation for several games even if he does ultimately end up playing Wednesday. It’s likely the point guard will test his hamstring out during warmups and make a decision on whether he goes or not.
The Nuggets are dealing with several other injuries, as both Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokic are questionable. If Murray doesn’t play, look for Reggie Jackson to get another start for Denver. Jackson has averaged 15.6 points and 5.2 assists in 11 starts this season, but is coming off a massive 35-point, 13-assist showing against the Clippers Monday.
