Breaking down Week 12 red zone usage leaders at each position for fantasy football

Here’s a look at which players were used the most in the red zone in Week 12.

With two weeks remaining until the fantasy playoffs, it’s more important than ever to find players who make the most of their red zone opportunities. Here’s a look at who got the most red zone touches in Week 12 so you can plan accordingly.

Wide receiver red-zone targets leaders

1. Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers, 4 (three targets, one carry)
2. Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts, 3
T-3. Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers, 2
T-3. Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 2
T-3. Josh Reynolds, Detroit Lions, 2
T-3. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys, 2
T-3. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins, 2
T-3. Gabe Davis, Buffalo Bills, 2
T-3. Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints, 2
T-3. Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers, 2
T-3. Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns, 2

Samuel got back to his old ways against the Seahawks, had he had three red zone catches for 24 yards and a two-yard touchdown rush. Of the players with two red zone targets, Watson, Evans, Reynolds, Lamd, Hill and Davis all caught touchdown passes

Tight end red-zone target leaders

T-1. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Tigers, 2

Higbee had a monster day in the red zone, recording 12 yards on two touchdowns n his two targets. Kraft, Everett and LaPorta all had touchdowns in the red zone, with Kraft’s making the most of his opportunity due to Luke Musgrave’s injury

Running back red zone attempt leaders

T-1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers, 7 (six rushes, one target)
T-1. Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams, 7 (four rushes, three targets)
T-3. Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs, 5 (all rushes)
T-3. Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts, 5 (all rushes)
T-5. David Montgomery, Detroit Lions, 4 (all rushes)
T-5. AJ Dillon, Green Bay Packers, 4 (all rushes)
T-5. Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars, 4 (all rushes)
T-5. Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles Chargers, 4 (two rushes, two targets)

While Williams only had eight yards rushing in the red zone, he had two receiving touchdowns in the red zone which helped his fantasy stock. McCaffrey had two red zone touchdowns on the ground (surprise, surprise), as did Pacheco and Taylor.
