We have made it to Bye-mageddon No. 2 in the 2023 NFL season. After no teams were on bye in Week 12, six will get the week off in Week 13, with the fantasy football playoffs looming. Kyren Williams made a heck of a return from injured reserve and finished as last week’s top RB in PPR scoring formats. Here is how we are approaching the position for Week 13.
Injury news to monitor
Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor is dealing with a thumb injury. It didn’t seem to hinder him in the team’s Week 12 win. Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones missed the team’s last game with a knee injury. De’Von Achane re-injured his knee in Week 11 and was held out of the team’s last game.
Streaming options for Week 13
The Denver Broncos’ defense allows the most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Dameon Pierce is back in the backfield for Houston, but Devin Singletary saw more work in the team’s Week 12 loss. Singletary had six rushes for 18 yards and brought in six of his seven targets for 54 yards. Pierce had five carries for 14 yards and one reception for four, so start Singletary.
Jaylen Warren and Najee Harris both need to be in lineups this week. The Arizona Cardinals allow the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Harris had one of his best games of the season, with 99 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Warren had 49 yards on 13 carries and added 13 yards on three receptions in the passing game.
Rico Dowdle should be back to full strength despite playing on a short week. The Seattle defense allows the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. He got limited work in Week 12, but still found the endzone through his lone reception. Dowdle is worth a stream in 12-team leagues or larger.
