Update: Well, not everything is quite kosher with Edwards. He’s questionable to return to the game, and it seems like the Timberwolves will only put him back in if absolutely needed.

Update: Edwards is back on the bench and appears set to return to Tuesday’s game after taking a rough fall and landing on his hip.

Minnesota Timberwolves star small forward Anthony Edwards went to the locker room Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder after landing hard on his hip attempting to draw a blocking foul.

This is an important In-Season Tournament game for the Timberwolves, who can potentially qualify for the knockout round with a win depending on what happens with the Warriors and Kings later. Edwards is obviously a huge part of what the Timberwolves offensively, so losing him would be tough to stomach. The forward has 21 points and five rebounds on the night already.

If Edwards is unable to return, look for Kyle Anderson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker to take on bigger roles in this offense. The Timberwolves are already down Jaden McDaniels on the wing, so Anderson and Alexander-Walker have already gotten some decent run this season. Karl-Anthony Towns and Mike Conley likely take on more scoring responsibilities if Edwards is out.
