Best fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 13 in 10-team leagues

Henry Palattella gives you their top players to add off the waiver wire for Week 13 in the 2023 NFL season. If you’re in a 10-team league, there might be a few better options.

While Week 12 didn’t feature as many landscape-shifting injuries as Week 11, there are still plenty of fantasy backup options to consider. Here are three of our favorites to consider picking up in 10-team leagues.

Week 13 Fantasy football waiver wire pickups in 10-team leagues

Pat Freiermuth, TE, Steelers

Rostership: Yahoo 48%, ESPN 42%

Freiermuth returned from injured reserve last week and caught nine of his targets for 120 yards in Pittsburgh’s win over Cincinnati. The Steelers' offense showed some explosiveness that was lacking under previous offensive coordinator Matt Canada, which could be a boon to Freiermuth. Plus the Steelers are going against the lowly Patriots next week.

Tyler Higbee, TE, Rams

Rostership: Yahoo 39%, ESPN 42%

Higbee made up for a slow start to the season with two touchdowns in Week 12 against the Cardinals. While he only had five targets, there’s no denying he’s a solid red zone option, and he should benefit from the extra attention gathered by Puca Nacua and Cooper Kupp.

Keaton Mitchell, RB, Ravens

Rostership: Yahoo 62%, ESPN 34%

Mitchell outcarried incumbent Gus Edwards for the first time last Sunday, as he recorded 64 yards on nine carries along with adding two catches for 25 yards. Mitchell’s still a bit of a boom-or-bust option, but it’s clear that the Ravens are going to work to get him the ball in as many ways as possible.
