Pick against the spread, over/under for Nuggets vs. Clippers on Monday, November 27

We go over some of the best betting options for Monday’s matchup between the Nuggets and Clippers.

Update: This line has moved to Clippers -10.5, largely because Nikola Jokic has ruled out for this game. Aaron Gordon has also been ruled out, but it’s Jokic who is moving the line. Even the two-time MVP out, we’ll still go with the Nuggets to cover at +10.5. The total is 217, and we’ll take the under there.

A new week in the NBA begins tonight as the Denver Nuggets hit the road to meet the Los Angeles Clippers. The game will tip off at 10:30 p.m. ET and will air on NBATV.

Denver (11-6) ended its two-game losing skid last night when toppling the Spurs in a 132-120 victory. Nikola Jokic came up just short of a triple-double, putting up 39 points, 11 rebounds, an nine assists in the win. Meanwhile, Los Angeles (7-8) has suddenly won four of its last five and came away with a big 107-88 victory over the Mavericks on Saturday. The team held Dallas to just 37.4% shooting as the game was never in doubt.

Denver has yet to release its injury report as of this writing, but Jamal Murray (hamstring) is expected to miss tonight’s game. Jokic should be good to go on the second night of a back-to-back set.

Los Angeles enters the game as a 5.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 220.5. The Clippers are a -218 moneyline favorite, making the Nuggets a +180 underdog.

Nuggets vs. Clippers, 10:30 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Nuggets +5.5

The reigning NBA champions are playing the backend of a back-to-back on the road and are understandably an underdog, especially with Murray still out. However, they’ve already beaten the Clippers this year and I trust Jokic to keep this game close. I’m taking Denver to cover.

Over/Under: Under 220.5

These have been two of the top defensive squads in the league as both rank in the top 10 in points allowed and both are holding opponents to under 47% shooting. I expect somewhat of a slugfest here, especially with Denver playing the backend of a back-to-back. Take the under.
