Los Angeles (10-7) has won four of its last five games heading into tonight and last triumphed over the Cavaliers in a 121-115 victory on Saturday. Anthony Davis dropped 32 points and 13 rebounds as the Lakers were able to establish some distance late. Meanwhile, Philadelphia (11-5) got back into the win column that same night with a 127-123 victory over the Thunder. Joel Embiid put up 35 points and 11 rebounds as the Sixers held off a late surge in the fourth quarter.
On the injury front, LeBron James (calf) and Cam Reddish (groin) are listed as questionable for the Lakers, while Rui Hachimura (nasal fracture) will miss his second straight game. For Philly, Kelly Oubre Jr. (rib) is still out.
Philadelphia enters the game as a 6-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 231. The Sixers are a -225 moneyline favorite, making the Lakers a +185 underdog.
Lakers vs. 76ers, 7 p.m. ET
Pick ATS: 76ers -6
Philly has dropped its last three games at home and has an opportunity to put those struggles to bed by picking up a big win over L.A. this evening. The Sixers are 11-5 against the spread this season and I think they’ll take advantage of James and Davis being slightly banged up heading into this contest.
Over/Under: Under 231
The total matches what these two teams are averaging so far this season. However, both squads are holding opponents to under 47% shooting and both rank in the top half of the league in opponent points per game. Both teams are going to have to work a little bit harder to put points on the board, so I’ll go with the under here.
