NFL RedZone crew forced to evacuate studio on air

That’s one way to wrap up seven hours of commercial free football.

Week 12 of the NFL the season is its nearing its end with the late window of Sunday’s games wrapping up. This is usually around the time when NFL RedZone wraps up its broadcast for the day, but today’s show ended on a bit of an odd note.

An very loud alarm went off in the show’s studio and host Scott Hanson informed the audience that the crew had to evacuate the premises!

The broadcast stayed on the matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles for a few minutes before Hanson came back on air and said that he was okay to return. The show had reached a natural endpoint anyway as Bills-Eagles was the only game still going and the show is required to go off the air in the U.S. when there’s just one game on. Still, a bizarre way to end the beloved show.

Glad Scott and the crew are okay!
