The Pittsburgh Steelers fired their offensive coordinator last week and promptly put together their first 400-yard game in years. The Pittsburgh offense seems to have gotten quite a boost from the firing, and one of the beneficiaries of this boost was tight end Pat Freiermuth.
Freiermuth put together a season-best performance by a long shot against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12. He had nine receptions on 11 targets for 120 yards from Kenny Pickett. Before this game, he had just nine receptions for 60 yards over five games.
Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth: Week 13 waiver wire
Freiermuth is currently rostered in 41.8% of ESPN fantasy leagues. With this new and improved Steelers offense, he is certainly a tight end to keep an eye on as you put in your waiver wire requests this week. While we can’t guarantee that Pittsburgh will continue to look like they did this week, Freiermuth has emerged as a reliable target. The Steelers face the Cardinals and the Patriots in their next games.
