The Pittsburgh Steelers held on to win 16-10 at the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12 of the NFL season. Even though it was another low-scoring game for the Steelers, they did gain more than 400 yards of offense in the first game since firing offensive coordinator Matt Canada. TE Pat Freiermuth delivered a standout performance with 9 receptions for 120 yards in the win.

With the victory, Pittsburgh improves to 7-4 on the season while the Bengals drop to 5-6. The Steelers were clinging onto a wild card spot in the playoffs as we entered this week, and this victory certainly helps them in the standings. Looking forward at Pittsburgh’s schedule, they have several winnable games, starting with a home game against the Arizona Cardinals next week. Then it’s home against the Patriots, at the Colts, and home against the Bengals respectively.

The Bengals were on the outside of the playoff picture looking in as we entered Week 12, and the loss drops them further away from postseason consideration with a 5-6 record. Of course, not having star QB Joe Burrow doesn’t help either, and Cincinnati is now 0-4 against AFC North opponents this season. Next up for the Bengals: at the Jaguars on Monday Night Football, home against the Colts, home vs. the Vikings.
