The Atlanta Falcons picked up a big win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 12. Both teams are now 5-6 with the Falcons jumping the Saints in the division standings. Atlanta will be leading the division since New Orleans, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers all lost.

It feels like the NFC South winner is destined to be the No. 4 seed for the NFC playoffs. Even with the victory on Sunday, they have fewer wins than the current NFC teams projected to be the No. 5, No. 6 and No. 7 seeds. This is the first of two matchups against New Orleans, so the Week 18 rematch could very well be for the division, depending on how the next six weeks shape up.

New Orleans will be home for its next two games as they play the Detroit Lions next week and the Panthers in Week 14. All eyes will be on the Saints’ injury report as they finished this game down their top three wide receivers. Atlanta will be on the road against the New York Jets in Week 13 and home against Tampa Bay in Week 14.
