The Auburn Tigers will host the No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide for the Iron Bowl this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET and starting quarterback Payton Thorne is considered questionable for the rivalry game with a foot injury. Thorne was seen wearing a boot on his right foot during practice on Monday according to Matt Cohen of AL.com. The QB himself didn’t share any details about the injury, but said that he was feeling alright.

After a rocky season, Auburn is trying to pull off an improbable upset today and would like to have its starter under center when the game kicks off on the Plains today. The Michigan State transfer has put up modest numbers in his first season at Auburn, completing 64.9% of his passes for 1,580 yards with 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He threw for just 148 yards and a touchdown in last week’s 31-10 loss at the hands of New Mexico State.

Auburn enters today’s game as a 13.5-point underdog, accompanied by a total of 47.5.
