The NBA In-Season Tournament returns with West Group C action tonight as the Sacramento Kings wrap up their six-game road trip when visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves. The game will tip off at 8 p.m. ET.
Sacramento (8-6) is trying to bounce back after dropping back-to-back games to the Pelicans earlier in the week. The team fell behind by double digits in Wednesday’s game and couldn’t catch back up in a 117-112 loss. Meanwhile, Minnesota (11-3) has ripped off three straight and currently stands tall with the best record in the Western Conference. The Wolves downed the 76ers 112-99 on Wednesday, a game where Anthony Edwards dropped 31 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
On the injury front, Keegan Murray (back) will miss his second straight game for the Kings. Meanwhile, Jaden McDaniels (ankle) will miss his second straight game for the Wolves.
Minnesota enters the game as a 4-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 229.5. The Timberwolves are listed as a -180 moneyline favorite, making the Kings a +150 underdog.
Kings vs. Timberwolves, 8 p.m. ET
Pick ATS: Timberwolves -4
Minnesota is rolling as it has emerged as a serious early contender in the Western Conference. The Wolves are a perfect 7-0 against the spread at home this season and I think they’ll handle their business and make it 8-0 this evening.
Over/Under: Under 229.5
Sacramento’s offense hasn’t been as explosive as one would think, averaging 114.9 points per game on 46.2% shooting. This is a bad defensive matchup for the Kings as the Wolves are limiting opponents just 105.3 ppg. I’m going with the under here.
