Best DFS lineup strategy for Dolphins-Jets on Black Friday

The Dolphins and Jets face off on Black Friday in Week 12. We take a look at the best plays for the DK Showdown.

We will see the first NFL game on Black Friday this year as the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets will face off in Week 12. Kickoff from MetLife Stadium is set for 3:00 p.m. ET and will air on Prime Video. Below we take a look at the best DFS lineup strategies for Black Friday.

NFL DFS Showdown strategy: Dolphins vs. Jets

Captain’s Picks

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins ($16,500)

Tagovailoa has been solid this season, however, he is due for one of his big breakout weeks. With as good as this Jets defense is, the offense has played so bad which has made things tough for them. I don't see things changing. The running backs for Miami are banged up and I think they will let this be a breakout game for Tagovailoa who is +500 to win the MVP on DraftKings Sportsbook. I think this Dolphins staff wants to see Tagovailoa win the award and these are the games he needs to come through to catch the guys that are probably ahead of him right now.

Breece Hall, RB, Jets ($11,400)

It is unfair to see how Hall’s season has played out so far. He is an elite talent but is playing on an awful offense. Hopefully, something changes when Tim Boyle takes over as the starter. I do think this could be a big week for Hall. The Dolphins are allowing around 15 fantasy points per game which isn't a ton, but I think Hall surpasses this total. He is their best playmaker and with Boyle taking over, I think we see a larger role for Hall.

FLEX Options

Raheem Mostert, RB, Dolphins ($10,200)

Because of how good the passing game has been, not many people have been talking about Mostert this season. However, he is top three in fantasy points for running backs this season. He can make plays in the pass-and-run game.

Jason Sanders, K, Dolphins ($5,400)

The Dolphins should score a ton of points in this matchup. It’s tough taking kickers in DFS, but this guy is good. He can knock through 50 yarders and I think we could see multiple field goals from him in this game. The Jets’ defense is solid and is more of a bend don't break. Do not be surprised to see the Dolphins forced to kick it a good amount when they get into the Jets' side of the field. As long as Sanders can knock through two or more field goals, he will be a solid play.

Players to Avoid

Devon Achane, RB, Dolphins ($9,000)

Achane is banged up heading into this game. It has yet to be announced whether or not he will play, but he should not be in your lineup regardless. He is not going to be 100% if he does play and I don’t think they want to overwork the rookie. Mostert has a ton of NFL experience and I expect them to rely on him in the divisional matchup. Stay away from Achane this week.

Greg Zuerlein, K, Jets ($5,000)

I went with the Sanders above, but I would stay away from Zuerlein. He is a good talent, but the Jets should not be kicking much. I expect the Dolphins to score a ton of points and it would not surprise me to see the Jets buried shortly into this game. Look for them to go for it on 4th down with the opportunity rather than kicking it.
