Christian Watson start or sit: Week 12 fantasy football advice

We break down the fantasy football outlook of Christian Watson ahead of the Packers Week 12 matchup against the Lions.

After recording more than 600 yards receiving last year, Christian Watson has taken a step back this year under Jordan Love. Here’s a look at if he’ll turn things around this week against the Lions.

Fantasy Football analysis: Packers WR Christian Watson

Watson only had 21 yards receiving last week against the Chargers (on a day in which Jordan Love threw for more than 300 yards), which marked Watson’s fifth straight game finishing with a yardage total under 37. He also scored his first touchdown since Week 4.

Start or sit in Week 12 PPR leagues?

Sit. Watson shouldn’t come anywhere near your fantasy lineup this week. While Love is playing well, it’s clear that Watson has taken a step back in their offense. He had 91 yards against the Raiders on a Monday night game at the start of October but has only had 166 combined yards in the other six games he’s played this year. He’s not worth a look this week.

Start or sit in Week 12 standard leagues?

Sit. While Watson still gets a decent amount of targets (he’s had 7+ targets in two of the last four games he’s played in), he hasn’t been able to do much with the ball in his hands. He’s not the deep threat that he was in years prior.

Player(s) you would start ahead of Christian Watson

FantasyPros has Watson ranked as WR54 this week, where he’s between Rondale Moore and Tutu Atwell. I’d start Moore over Watson but would lean toward Watson over Atwell.
