Jayden Reed start or sit: Week 12 fantasy football advice

We break down the fantasy football outlook of Jayden Reed ahead of the Packers Week 12 matchup against the Lions.

Jayden Reed made an impact as both a receiver and rusher last week in the Packers win over the Lions. Here’s a look at if he’ll carry that over to Week 12 against the Lions.

Fantasy Football analysis: Packers WR Jayden Reed

Reed rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown on three carries against Los Angeles while also adding 46 yards receiving on six targets. He now leads the Packers in receiving yards (463) and has scored a touchdown in two straight games.

Start or sit in Week 12 PPR leagues?

Start. It seems as if the Packers have figured out what seemed to be evident from the get-go: good things happen when you put the ball in Reed’s hands. The rookie has more than 520 all-purpose yards this year and seems to be establishing a clear rapport with rookie starter Jordan Love. Plus, starting running back Aaron Jones is out, which means that Reed could slot in to fill some of the volume left behind in Jones’ absence.

Start or sit in Week 12 standard leagues?

Start. Reed’s averaging 14.5 yards per catch, so his value is in what he does with the ball, not his reception volume. Plus he’s been getting things done on the ground lately. Reed should have a spot in your lineup.

Player(s) you would start ahead of Jayden Reed

FantasyPros has Reed ranked as WR44, where he’s between Jahan Dotson and Odell Beckham Jr. I’d start Reed over both of them, but some other wide receivers to consider from this tier are Jakobi Meyers and Gabe Davis.
