The fantasy football playoffs are on the horizon as we enter Week 12 of the NFL season. The tight end position was in a weird spot last week as several top options either picked up injuries or were nearly non-existent in their production. This led to Stone Smartt and Josh Oliver to finish in the top five at the position in PPR leagues.
Here is how we are handling the tight end position in Week 12 PPR fantasy football leagues as you look to make your playoff push.

Injury news to monitor
Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews is expected to miss the remainder of the regular season due to an injury. Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave is dealing with an abdominal injury that could be tough to shake on a short week.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has yet to be added to injured reserve, so he could end up suiting up this week if his forearm recovers quickly from the surgery he had on it.
Streaming options for Week 12
David Njoku finished as a top tight end in Week 11 with Dorian Thompson-Robinson under center. He now draws the Denver Broncos defense that allows the most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends.
Pat Freiermuth will get a chance at resurgence by taking on the Cincinnati Bengals defense this week. The Pittsburgh Steelers finally fired their offensive coordinator, which could see the offense changing its rhythm. This should benefit ‘Muth against the defense, allowing the second-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.
Isaiah Likely is expected to take over as the Baltimore Ravens starting tight end with Andrews sidelined. He did finish the team’s last game without a reception, but the Los Angeles Chargers defense allows the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. This will be a good barometer on how Likely’s outlook projects for the rest of the season.
