We are in Week 12 of the NFL season, and the fantasy football playoffs are around the corner. Depending on your league settings, you could only have a handful of games left to make that playoff push. Setting efficient lineups is more important than ever. With that in mind, here is how we are approaching the wide receiver position in Week 12 PPR fantasy football leagues.
Teams on bye: None
Injury news to monitor
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is coming off a bye week but was added to injured reserve and will miss at least the next four games. Odell Beckham Jr. ended Week 11 with a shoulder injury but has a little extra time to recover coming into this week.
Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins missed the team’s last game and is considered week-to-week. Houston Texans wideout Noah Brown didn’t play last week but went into the weekend questionable, so could return in Week 12.
Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp both exited last week’s game with an injury. Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson is expected to be activated from IR this week finally, but it isn’t official yet.
Streaming options for Week 12
If Gabe Davis is going to have a fantasy football relevant week for the Buffalo Bills, it’ll be this week. The Philadelphia Eagles defense allows the most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts.
You were likely playing him anyway, but make sure to get Zay Flowers into your lineups this week. The Los Angeles Chargers defense has been getting torched by wide receivers and Flowers should see some extra carries with tight end Mark Andrews expected to miss the remainder of the regular season. If he is healthy you could take a flier on Beckham Jr. this week in 14-team leagues or larger, or in DFS.
Brandin Cooks has an intriguing matchup against the Washington Commanders this week. Their defense allows the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts and starting WR CeeDee Lamb is dealing with a minor ankle injury, that could have him at less than 100%.
