Pick against the spread, over/under for 76ers vs. Timberwolves on Wednesday, November 22

We go over some of the best betting options for Wednesday’s matchup between the 76ers and Timberwolves.

Update: Embiid has been ruled out for the 76ers as he deals with hip soreness. The line has shifted to Timberwolves -6.5 and the total is 220.5. We’ll stick with the 76ers at +6.5 and the under on the total.

The Philadelphia 76ers (10-4) and Minnesota Timberwolves (10-3) will face off for the first time this season. These are two of the best teams in the NBA right now and this should be a great matchup. Tipoff from the Target Center in Minneapolis is set for 8 p.m. ET.

Minnesota is without Jaden McDaniels (ankle), Jordan McLaughlin (knee), and Jaylen Clark (Achilles). Kelly Oubre Jr. (ribs) is the only player that is out for the 76ers at the moment, but we’ll see if Philadelphia rests anyone on the second night of a back-to-back set.

The Timberwolves are a 5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook and the total sits at 221. On the moneyline, the Timbewolves are -198 while the 76ers are +164.

Pick ATS: 76ers +5

With the way they lost on Tuesday, I like the bounceback spot for the 76ers. Joel Embiid fouled out, which took a toll on Philadelphia in overtime. I would expect to see the 76ers play a lot better in Minnesota. The Timberwolves have been great, but they seem due for a loss. They’ve won nine of their last 10 games, but this might be the toughest opponent for them in that timeframe. Watch for Tyrese Maxey to carry this team tonight. At the very least, I expect this game to come down to the last fews possessions and the 76ers to cover.

Over/Under: Under 221

With the 76ers playing an overtime game last night, I think Wednesday’s contest will be played at a slower pace. These are two of the better defensive teams in the NBA. If it weren't for overtime, the 76ers game would’ve finished under this total yesterday. Watch for the game to finish somewhere around 108-103 and to go under the total.
