Pick against the spread, over/under for Heat vs. Cavaliers on Wednesday, November 22

We go over some of the best betting options for Wednesday’s matchup between the Heat and Cavaliers.

NBA: Miami Heat at Chicago Bulls Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

Update: Adebayo has been ruled out due to a hip injury. The line is now Cavaliers -1, with the total coming in at 211.5. We’ll take the Cavaliers as 1-point favorites and the under on the total with this injury news.

The Miami Heat (9-5) and Cleveland Cavilers (8-6) will meet in a battle of Eastern Conference playoff hopefuls. Both teams should make it provided they are able to stay healthy. The Heat are coming in off of a win over the Chicago Bulls while the Cavs are coming in riding a four-game winning streak after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Heat will be without forward Kevin Love, who is out with personal issues. Center Bam Adebayo is probable with a hip injury, The Cavaliers haven’t released an official report, but Donovan Mitchell and Caris LeVert are both likely to be out.

The Heat are currently a 2.5-point favorite according to DraftKings Sportsbook. The total for this one is set at 210.5. The Heat are at -135 on the moneyline, while the Cavs are at +114.

Heat vs. Cavaliers, 7:30 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Heat -2.5

Both teams are 6-8 ATS this season. However, one important stat is that the Cavs have failed to cover the spread in eight of their last nine home games against Eastern Conference opponents. The Heat have covered the spread in three of their last five head-to-head matchups, including twice as a favorite. Take the Heat to cover in this one, especially with Mitchell likely sidelined.

Over/Under: Over 210.5

If the total was any higher, this would be an under. When looking at the last five head-to-head matchups, these teams went 1-1 on the over for this particular line. When the total is higher, this matchup normally goes under. The Heat rank 24th in the league in scoring at 110.2 while the Cavs rank 20th, averaging 111.9 points per game. The average point total at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse is 218. Take the over, even in a defensive showdown.
