Best running backs to add on fantasy football waiver wire in Week 12 of 2023 NFL season

Ben Hall goes over the best RBs to consider picking up off your waiver wire for Week 12 of the 2023 NFL season.

Week 12 in the NFL is coming up and that means that the waiver wire should be used. We don't have any bye weeks in Week 12, but there are a combined eight teams on bye in Week 13 and 14. Below we take a look at a few running backs to consider adding on the waiver wire this week.

Fantasy football waiver wire: RB pickups for Week 12

Zach Charbonnet, Seattle Seahawks

Rostership: 32.4%

There is a good chance that Kenneth Walker will miss multiple weeks with the oblique injury he suffered in the first quarter last week. Charbonnet saw a ton of touches once Walker was ruled out and I think we will see that over the next few weeks. Seattle already had their bye week, so you wouldn't have to worry about that.

Samaje Perine, Denver Broncos

Rostership: 25.2%

Perine had a great performance on Sunday Night Football. It might be recency bias, but Perine will continue to play a good role in this offense. He is the pass-catching back and is on the field on all third downs. The Broncos are playing playoff football right now and I would expect them to let Russell Wilson game manage where he is best. That includes a ton of check downs to Perine.

Latavius Murray, Buffalo Bills

Rostership: 22.7%

With Ken Dorsey being fired, it was in question what role Murray would still have in the offense with Joe Brady. Murray received 10 carries in his first game with Brady as the offensive coordinator, so I wouldn't be concerned that he will take on a smaller role. They also didn't have a ton of goal-line chances for him, so I would expect more touchdown opportunities next week.
