Thanksgiving week in the NBA will get underway tonight as the New York Knicks wrap up their five-game road trip when visiting the Minnesota Timberwolves. The game will tip off at 8 p.m. ET.
New York (8-5) has ripped off three straight wins and are fresh off a 122-108 victory over the Hornets on Saturday. The Knicks got a big performance out of Jalen Brunson, who put up 32 points and seven assists in the win. Meanwhile, Minnesota (9-3) edged New Orleans 121-120 on Saturday, claiming its eighth win in nine games. The Wolves stormed back from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter and a Karl-Anthony Towns floater with five seconds left put them on top.
On the injury front, Evan Fournier (ankle) and Quentin Grimes (wrist) are listed as questionable for the Knicks. Meanwhile, there are no notable injuries for the Wolves.
Minnesota enters the game as a 2.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 214.5. The Wolves are a -135 moneyline favorite, making the Knicks a +114 underdog.
Knicks vs. Timberwolves, 8 p.m. ET
Pick ATS: Wolves -2.5
Minnesota is 5-0 at home this season and will be returning to its home confines of the Target Center tonight after a five-game road trip. This should energize the Wolves and I’ll predict them holding off the Knicks to pick up another win this evening.
Over/Under: Under 214.5
This is a battle of two of the best defensive teams in the league as both rank in the top 10 in opponent points per 100 possessions. I expect this to be a struggle to score at times, so I’ll lean on the under cashing tonight.
