The United States men’s national team will look to wrap up their quarterfinal series against Trinidad & Tobago in CONCACAF Nations League play on Monday, November 20th. They come into the second leg of the series carrying a hefty lead after a comfortable 3-0 win in the first leg on Thursday evening. Kickoff for the second leg is set for 7 p.m. ET on Monday from Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.

It was no surprise that the Americans got off to a good lead at home against the No. 99-ranked Trinidad & Tobago side. Midfielder Noah Powder got a second yellow card and was sent off in the 38th minute, giving the Americans even more of an advantage as the Soca Warriors played the rest of the match a man down. It still took the USA until the final eight minutes of the match to score, though, as Ricardo Pepi broke the 0-0 deadlock in the 82nd minute. Antonee Robinson put one in just four minutes later, followed by a third from Gio Reyna in the 89th minute to ice the match at 3-0.

Trinidad & Tobago only managed to get one shot off through the entire contest, while the Americans logged a staggering 26 shots with eight on target. Gregg Berhalter’s side will feel confident going on the road just needing a win, draw, or even a loss if the aggregate score doesn’t tip the other way.
