NFL weather forecast for Week 11 Monday Night Football, what it means for fantasy and betting

The weather report can impact fantasy football and betting. We break down the important information you need to prepare for Week 11’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Eagles and Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

NFL: Super Bowl LVII-Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Week 11 of the NFL season wraps up tonight with a rematch of Super Bowl LVII between the Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) and the Kansas City Chiefs (7-2). The game is slated to kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET from Arrowhead Stadium and can be seen on ESPN.

Weather needs to be extreme to truly impact games, but when deciding between two players who you like equally, it might be a helpful tiebreaker. What we really don’t want to see is 20 mph or higher wind speeds. Rain can cause problems, but unless it is a combination of high winds and rain, we usually don’t want to downgrade our fantasy football players too much.

Helpful weather resources include National Weather Service and Accuweather, among others.

Weather for Eagles vs. Chiefs on Week 11 MNF

Forecast: High of 44 with a real feel of 38, potential rain

It’s not going to be the most wonderful night in Kansas City tonight. It won’t be too cold, with a high of 44 and a low of 43 during game time. But the sun will be down by kickoff time, meaning there won’t be that extra layer of warmth. It’s also projected to rain a bit, with a 64% chance of rain at kickoff time and a 59% chance during the first hour or so of the game.

It looks to be a lot drier after halftime, with just a 40% or lower chance of rain throughout the rest of the night after 9 p.m. local time. Wind should not be a major factor, with the strongest winds of the night projected to be at just 10 mph.

Fantasy/betting implications

The wind and the temperatures will make it mildly uncomfortable, but not enough to impact any sort of fantasy lineup setting or betting lines.

While it is slated to rain, it’s looking like it will be a pretty light rain during the game so it shouldn’t have a major impact on betting. If anything, it may have you want to lean toward the Eagles ML bet since they have a powerful ground game, but the weather doesn’t seem like it will have a major impact on the end result of the night.
