With Dameon Pierce not expected to play this week, according to the most recent report from Houston Texans beat writer Aaron Wilson, that means another potentially big week for running back Devin Singletary.
Needless to say, he belongs in your fantasy football lineup with Houston’s backfield duties all to himself.
Fantasy Football analysis: Texans RBs Dameon Pierce/Devin Singletary
Last week, Singletary handled 81 percent of the Texans offensive snaps. He turned that into 30 carries for 150 yards and a touchdown on the ground with another 11 yards on one reception against the Bengals.
This week, Houston gets the Arizona Cardinals. And while they have been playing better against the run lately, they’re still ranked as the third easiest team for opposing running backs in fantasy.
Start or sit in Week 11 PPR leagues?
Singletary isn’t seeing much work in the passing game with so many other options in Houston, but that’s fine. He’s still productive enough as a running back to leave in your RB2 spot in any sized league.
Start or sit in Week 11 standard leagues?
Start him. He’s worth the RB2 spot based on volume alone, and he’s got the chance to turn those touches into a productive day in the box score.
Player(s) you would start ahead of Dameon Pierce/Devin Singletary
Someone like Raheem Mostert or Derrick Henry is probably a slightly better option if you have the choice, but you can feel good about having Singletary in the lineup. Obviously, you should avoid Pierce since he’s not expected to play.
