Who are the Diamondbacks playing in the 2023 World Series?

We go over who the Rangers will be playing in the 2023 World Series after dispatching the Astros in an epic ALCS.

The Arizona Diamondbacks shocked the baseball world this week, besting the Phillies on their home field in Games 6 and 7 of the NLCS to punch their ticket to the franchise’s first World Series since way back in 2001. Arizona is now looking to cap off one of the most improbable title runs in baseball history — but who will they be facing in the Fall Classic?

Who will be Diamondbacks’ opponent in 2023 World Series?

The Diamondbacks will have another road-tested Wild Card team waiting for them: the Texas Rangers, who themselves won Games 6 and 7 on the road in the ALCS to send the defending champion Astros home. Texas may have been in the fifth seed in the AL playoffs, but they had the highest-scoring offense in the league during the regular season and have two stalwarts atop the rotation in Jordan Montgomery and Nathan Eovaldi; Arizona will have its work cut out for it, but then again, that’s been the case all October long. The teams have yet to announced the pitching matchups for Game 1 on Friday, but below is the full schedule for the Diamondbacks-Rangers series.
