Colts WR Josh Downs worth waiver wire add to fantasy football lineups ahead of Week 8

Indy wideout has scored in back-to-back games and appears a favorite target of QB Gardner Minshew. Downs makes a lot of sense to add this late in the season.

The Indianapolis Colts fell to the Cleveland Browns after a close, hard-fought game. Quarterback Gardner Minshew led the Colts in the 39-38 loss, and wide receiver Josh Downs led the team in receiving yards.

Colts WR Josh Downs: Week 8 waiver wire

Downs finished the day with five receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown, marking his second score of the season. Downs was a third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson, the Colts’ starter, is out for the season with an AC joint injury, but that isn’t stopping Downs. He has been clicking with Minshew, who has targeted Downs for both of his touchdown catches this season.

The Colts face the Saints and the Panthers in their next two games. Downs is absolutely worth a waiver wire add down this stretch. He should continue to see plenty of action in the passing game in the coming weeks.
