Update 11:45 am ET — Sahvir Wheeler and CJ Frederick are both out for Saturday’s game against Georgia, considered day-to-day.

Update 11:12 am ET — It looks like Sahvir Wheeler, if he is going to play, will join the team late in warm-ups as he’s not out there with the rest of his teammates now.

The Kentucky Wildcats host the Georgia Bulldogs in an SEC matchup on Saturday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m. ET., but they might be doing so short-handed.

Senior guard Sahvir Wheeler is questionable for the matchup with a right ankle injury that caused him to sit out of Kentucky’s recent loss against Arkansas. Wheeler leads the team in assists with 5.6 per game, adding 7.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per night as well. Wheeler’s defensive presence is a major factor for the Wildcats.

The last time Kentucky faced Georgia, Wheeler was a game-time decision. He played just 11 minutes and did not score, but added three assists and one rebound. Kentucky won the first matchup 85-71, and Saturday’s game tips off at noon ET for a rematch.

CJ Frederick suffered a cracked rib in Kentucky’s game against Florida and will not play for the Wildcats against Georgia this weekend.

Kentucky enters as an 8-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total set at 141.5.
