Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paul George headline NBA injury report for Tuesday, January 17

We take a look at the NBA injury report for Tuesday, January 17 and break down all the latest news for fantasy basketball.

We have a light NBA slate tonight with just four games set to tip off this evening. Here’s a look at the day’s injury report, along with the relevant fantasy and betting implications.

NBA Injury Report: January 17

Toronto Raptors vs. Milwaukee Bucks

Serge Ibaka (persona) - OUT

Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) - OUT
Khris Middleton (knee) - OUT

The Bucks are listing Giannis as out for tonight’s matchup vs. the Raptors. Middleton is also out, so the Bucks will be a bit shorthanded here. That means fire up Jrue Holiday in tournaments on DraftKings. Grayson Allen and Bobby Portis are also decent plays.

Brooklyn Nets vs. San Antonio Spurs

Kevin Durant (MCL) - OUT
Kyrie Irving (calf) - OUT

Update — The Nets ruled out Irving against the Spurs on Tuesday. With Irving sidelined, a fair amount of value will open up on the slate. Ben Simmons may have to actually try and score the ball.

KD is still out with his MCL sprain and isn’t expected to be back until early February at the earliest. Joe Harris has seen a significant increase in minutes in his absence and has been a nice asset in fantasy lineups.

Devin Vassell (knee) - Out
Doug McDermott (back) - Active

Update - McDermott is available for Tuesday’s tilt against the Spurs.

Vassell continues to be sidelined after undergoing arthroscopic surgery two weeks ago. Josh Richardson is averaging 21.6 fantasy points per game in DFS and has been a nice substitute in his place.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Denver Nuggets

Jamal Murray (ankle) - Active
Bones Hyland (ankle) - Active

Update — Murray was downgraded to questionable from probable tonight vs. the Blazers. However, he was active and starting Tuesday night against Portland.

Murray has been listed as probable for the last two games before playing, so he should be good to go for tonight’s matchup. Meanwhile, Hyland exited Sunday’s game against the Magic with an ankle injury and if he’s unable to go for tonight, fellow wing Bruce Brown could be a good DFS commodity for the evening.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Paul George (hamstring) - Active
John Wall (abdominal) - Out
Luke Kennard (calf) - Out

Update- George is active and back in the lineup for the Clippers.

George has missed the last five games for the Clippers with his nagging hamstring injury and his status for tonight’s game against the Sixers is up in the air. If he’s unable to go, Norman Powell once again becomes a valuable asset in DFS
