Breakdown of Jets backfield in Week 2 vs. Browns

We discuss the running back carries for the New York Jets. Rookie Breece Hall and Michael Carter are splitting carries.

The New York Jets are taking on the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 of the NFL season. They’re coming off a loss to the Baltimore Ravens. New York played from behind for the majority of the game, and they weren’t able to utilize either of their running backs. Michael Carter finished with 10 carries for 60 yards and seven receptions for 40 more yards. Teammate Breece Hall had six carries for 23 yards and caught six of his nine targets for 38 yards.

Jets RB usage in Week 2 vs. Browns

New York was on the road this week for their game against the Browns. They played from behind most of the game, but veteran quarterback Joe Flacco led the comeback through the air. Carter and Hall ended up with the same amount of carries with seven. Carter finished with 23 rushing yards and brought in all five targets for 27 yards. Hall had 50 yards on the ground with his carries and only one reception for 10 yards that saw him score his first career touchdown. Carter played 42 offensive snaps while Hall played in 20 snaps.
