The Houston Astros have been MLB’s best at hitting the under this season, with over two-thirds of their games going under the total, and they look to hold down the Texas Rangers in Arlington on Tuesday.

Rangers starter Dane Dunning has been significantly better at home than on the road since arriving in Texas in 2021, posting a 3.24 ERA in career appearances at Globe Life Field, giving up just 0.8 home runs per nine innings and 9.6 strikeouts per nine innings.
On the road, Dunning has posted a 6.02 ERA and an 0-10 record while opponents have hit over .300 off of him, making his 1-4 record and 4.41 ERA in 2022 middle marks between his solid home pitching and suspect road pitching.
The Astros will look to Jose Urquidy to lower his 6.61 road ERA. Opponents are hitting.345 off of him in his seven road starts this season, but he has a track record of pitching well away from home. Last season, he posted a 3.86 ERA and .229 opponent batting average on the road.
The Astros back up Urquidy with the league’s best bullpen, which is relatively rested after each of the last three starters went at least six innings.
With the Rangers also ranked eighth in bullpen ERA and the Astros 22nd in runs per game (4.1), Texas will play host to a low-scoring affair on Tuesday.
