Full bracket, list of teams to advance to second round of 2022 NHL playoffs

We take a look at the NHL playoff bracket heading into the second round.

The 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs have been some of the closest competition so far. We’re well into Week 2 of the playoffs and there have been just two teams to advance into the second round, and three Game 7’s are scheduled already. Here we’re going to take a look at the updated bracket in the 2022 NHL playoffs and who has advanced to the second round.

2022 NHL playoff bracket

Eastern Conference

No. 1 Florida Panthers vs. WC2 Washington Capitals (FLA wins 4-2)
No. 2 Toronto Maple Leafs vs. No. 3 Tampa Bay Lightning (TB wins 4-3)

No. 1 Carolina Hurricanes vs. WC1 Boston Bruins (CAR wins 4-3)
No. 2 New York Rangers vs. No 3 Pittsburgh Penguins (series tied 3-3)

Panthers — Florida will face the Lightning in the second round.
Hurricanes — Carolina awaits winner of Penguins-Rangers series in second round. Lightning — Tampa Bay will face the Panthers in the second round.
Rangers — New York will face Carolina in second round.

Western Conference

No. 1 Colorado Avalanche vs. WC2 Nashville Predators (COL wins 4-0)
No 3 St. Louis Blues vs. No. 2 Minnesota Wild (STL wins 4-2)

No. 1 Calgary Flames vs. WC1 Dallas Stars (CGY wins 4-3)
No. 2 Edmonton Oilers vs. No. 3 Los Angeles Kings (series tied 3-3)

Teams who have advanced

Avalanche — Colorado will take on the Blues in the second round.
Blues — St. Louis will face the Avalanche in the second round.
Oilers — Edmonton will face the Flames in second round.
Flames — Calgary will face the Oilers in the second round.
