The Montreal Canadiens have won the first pick in the 2022 NHL Draft following the NHL Draft lottery drawing on Tuesday night at the NHL Network studios in Secaucus, N.J. The Canadiens entered the lottery with the best odds to win the first overall pick. Last year, the Buffalo Sabres were awarded the top pick with the best odds to win the lottery. The Sabres selected D Owen Power with the pick. The 2022 NHL Draft will take place on July 7 at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
