The Indianapolis Colts added some talent during the 2022 NFL Draft who should have a fantasy impact for this upcoming season. Before we dive into what impact these rookies could have on the Colts in 2022, let’s look back at last season.

The Colts got breakout seasons from both running back Jonathan Taylor and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. last season, both of whom becoming top fantasy football stars in their respective positions. They’ll look to build upon that while the likes of Nyheim Hines and Zach Pascal back them up.

Of course, the biggest move of Indy’s offseason was the team jettisoning quarterback Carson Wentz after just one season and upgrading by trading for Matt Ryan. That bodes well for the fantasy prospects of the entire offense. With Jack Doyle retiring, the team also locked in tight end Mo Alie-Cox to a contract extension and he’ll be their top option at the position.

Fantasy football impact

The Colts used their first pick on receiver depth with Cincinnati wideout Alec Pierce. He’ll compete for the WR3 role in the offense and may be worth a waiver add as the season goes on.

In the third round, Indianapolis went out and took speedy tight end Jelani Woods out of Virginia. He’ll add depth behind starter Mo Alie-Cox but won’t be much of a fantasy add.
