The Cleveland Browns added some talent during the 2022 NFL Draft who should have a fantasy impact for this upcoming season. Before we dive into what impact these rookies could have on the Browns in 2022, let’s look back at last season.
The only fantasy-relevant move the Browns made during last year’s draft was selecting wide receiver Anthony Schwartz in the third round and running back Demetric Felton in the sixth round. Both players made a minimal impact within the offense and will remain squarely in a backup capacity for the upcoming season.
The Browns have had a chaotic six months in terms of offensive roster moves, beginning with the trade of wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. midway through the season. They effectively replaced him by trading for Amari Cooper at the beginning of the offseason and with the team releasing Jarvis Landry, he’ll be the undisputed top pass-catcher for the offense. Of course, their offseason will be defined the massive trade and signing of quarterback Deshaun Watson, effectively pushing Baker Mayfield out the door.
Another notable move was the team placing the franchise tag on tight end David Njoku, making him a potential fantasy sleeper as he enters a “prove it” season.

Fantasy football impact
Cleveland took its first offensive player at the end of the third round with wide receiver David Bell. He’ll have a shot at possibly securing the WR2 role and solidifying himself as a fantasy steal.
Cade York was money as a placekicker at LSU and will be a good candidate to take in your fantasy draft.
