The Detroit Lions added some pieces during the 2022 NFL Draft, but they likely won’t be fantasy players in this upcoming season. Before we dive into what impact these rookies could have on the Lions in 2022, let’s look back at last season.

The Lions focused on the offensive line with their first selection in last year’s draft. They then spent three picks to shore up their defense. In the fourth round, they drafted star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. In his rookie year, St. Brown totaled 90 receptions for 912 yards and five touchdowns. In the offseason, Detroit added wide receiver DJ Chark. All of a sudden this Lions offense is looking like it is ready to compete in 2022.

Fantasy football impact

The Lions traded up to nab its receiver of the future in Jameson Williams. The wideout dominated at Alabama last year and he was initially considered the best receiver in the class before tearing his ACL. He should be ready by training camp and is worthy of a mid-late round pick in your fantasy league.
