May 7 update: Lowry is officially listed as questionable for Game 4, but he’s likely to play after taking the floor in Game 3.
May 6 update: Lowry is available for Game 3 and will start against the 76ers. He represents a nice DFS option, but will likely cede scoring opportunities to Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro. Lowry’s biggest boost will be on the defensive end, where he’ll be tasked with stopping James Harden and Tyrese Maxey.
May 6 update: Lowry is set to return in Game 3 vs. the 76ers after recovering from his hamstring injury. The point guard will be a nice boost on both ends of the floor for the Heat, who hope to take a 3-0 lead in this series.
May 5 update: Lowry is questionable for Game 3, which is a sign of progress for the Heat guard. He’s not been formally ruled out, which has been the case for the last two games. Miami is up 2-0 and won’t risk Lowry unless he’s 100 percent but the guard is inching closer to a return in this series.
May 2 update: The Heat aren’t playing any injury games with Lowry. They’ve ruled the point guard out for Game 2 and see no reason to rush him back after convincingly winning Game 1 at home.
May 1 update: Lowry has been formally ruled out for Game 1 against the 76ers, which means Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and Tyler Herro will be the primary ball handlers for Miami in this contest.
April 25 update: Lowry has been ruled out for Game 5 against the Hawks. The Heat will try to close the series without him.
April 24 update: According to the Heat, Lowry is officially out for Game 4 against the Hawks with a hamstring injury. This will elevate Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and Tyler Herro in the rotation.
April 23 update: Lowry is questionable for Game 4 against the Hawks with a hamstring injury. He sustained the injury in the third quarter of Game 3 and did not return to the contest. The Heat lead the Hawks 2-1, but Atlanta has a chance to hold down the fort at home and tie up the series in Game 4.
Miami Heat guard Kyle Lowry suffered a leg injury in the third quarter of Game 3 against the Atlanta Hawks, causing him to exit the game. The team has officially ruled him out for the rest of the contest.
#MIAvsATL INJURY UPDATE: Kyle Lowry left in the 3rd quarter of tonight's game vs the Hawks with a left leg injury and will not return.

Lowry has been a solid presence for the Heat on both ends of the floor, averaging 13.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game this season. He was the big offseason acquisition for Miami with the postseason in mind. He leaves Game 3 with six points, five assists and four rebounds.
If Lowry cannot go in Game 4, look for the Heat to lean more on Max Strus, Tyler Herro and Gabe Vincent at the point guard spot. Strus has been starting of late, and Herro is excelling in his bench role. If Lowry is out, Vincent might be the candidate to get starts for the Heat. Jimmy Butler is also strong as the primary offensive initiator, so the Heat have some options if Lowry is out.
