April 26 update: The Heat have ruled out Jimmy Butler for Game 5 due to knee inflamation, which is a cause for concern. Miami is already missing Lowry, so this compounds the team’s problems defensively. However, the Heat are still favored per DraftKings Sportsbook and we’ll see if they can close this out at home without their best player.

April 23 update: The Heat continue to list their contingent who played in Game 3 on the injury report, but the key now is Kyle Lowry. Lowry is dealing with a hamstring injury and is officially questionable. He suffered the setback in the third quarter of Game 3 and did not return to the contest.

April 21 update: The Heat have listed Adebayo, Morris, Tucker and Caleb Martin as questionable and Vincent as probable. All these guys suited up in Games 1 and 2, so it’s hard to see them suddenly sitting out Game 3. The Heat have a chance to grab a commanding 3-0 series lead Friday.
April 19 update: Adebayo said he plans to play in Game 2 against the Hawks. The big man is dealing with a quad issue but will suit up Tuesday. The rest of the Heat players who carried injury designations are all available to play, meaning Miami is at full strength for Game 2.
April 18 update: The Heat as listing Bam Adebayo, P.J. Tucker and Markieff Morris as questionable and Gabe Vincent as probable for Tuesday’s game against the Hawks. The Miami Heat finished the regular season with a 53-29 record and was able to emerge from an extremely competitive Eastern Conference with the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. The team will begin its postseason journey when hosting Game 1 of its first-round series on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
Let’s take a look at the Heat’s injury report and how it may impact the series.
Heat injury report
Miami is relatively healthy heading into the postseason but a few of its key players will be trying to shake off some nagging injuries heading into Game 1.
Point guard Tyler Herro was listed as day-to-day this week with a knee injury. He was kept out of last Sunday’s season finale against the Magic but should be ready to go for the first round. The same goes for veteran forward P.J. Tucker, who missed three out of the last four games of the regular season with a calf strain. Tucker indicated on Wednesday that he’ll be ready for the postseason.
Center Bam Adebayo was placed into COVID-19 protocols late last week and missed Sunday’s game against Orlando. He has been cleared and will be ready to go for Game 1.
