The fighters have begun ring entrances, so fight time is upon us!
Round 1: Brook 10-0
After a brief feeling-out process, Khan landed a couple solid shots and won the first half of the round. Brook responded at just under 1:30 left and dominated the final half wobbling Khan on two separate occasions.
Round 2: Khan 10-9 (19-19)
Khan was the more active fighter but was not overly accurate. Brook just missed in the third minute on what would have been a big shot. Khan landed a bit more than Brook and likely secured the round, but it could have gone either way.
Round 3: Brook 10-9 (29-28)
Khan looked like he would win another round with some big shots in the middle minute, but in the final 30 seconds, Brook dominated and wobbled Khan again. Khan briefly went down after a shove from Brook, but if the round went another minute, he might have gone done legitly.
Round 4: Brook 10-9 (39-37)
This was a quieter round. Brook seemed a little more effective to likely secure the round, but this was the closest thus far given the slightly more limited amount of action. Brook got just busy enough in the final ten seconds to impress the judges.
Round 5: Brook 10-9 (49-46)
Brook dominated this one and it looked like we were getting close to a stoppage. Khan wasn’t offering much resistance as Brook landed some big shots and wobbled Khan most of the round. It’s amazing Brook hasn’t dropped Khan yet, but this fight is just about over at this rate.
Round 6: Brook TKO
Brook unloaded for the first minute of the sixth round and finally the ref stopped it. Khan never went down, but he was effectively defenseless for the final two rounds.
