There are seven games in the NBA Thursday, with TNT’s doubleheader taking center stage. The network will have a rematch of last year’s Finals when the Bucks meet the Suns. It’ll also be the first slate of games after the NBA trade deadline, so we’ll see if any of the names on this list get moved prior to tipoff. Here’s Thursday’s NBA injury report.
NBA Injury Report: February 10
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Detroit Pistons
Cade Cunningham (hip) OUT
Killian Hayes (leg) available
Update - Cunningham has been ruled out, so Hayes and Joseph are the Pistons top guards for Thursday’s game.
If Cunningham sits, Hayes and Cory Joseph continue to be strong fantasy/DFS plays. The No. 1 overall pick has missed four games with his hip injury.
Dillon Brooks (ankle) out until early March
The Grizzlies really need Brooks to come back fully healthy to be considered a contender. The forward is out until early March with his ankle sprain, which was originally expected to cost him 3-5 weeks. Desmond Bane, Ziaire Williams and De’Anthony Melton will see more minutes with Brooks sidelined.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards
James Harden (hamstring) OUT
Nic Claxton (hamstring) OUT
LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle) OUT
Update - Claxton has been ruled out, which means Griffin and Day’Ron Sharpe are good frontcourt options for the Nets in fantasy/DFS formats.
Update - Harden has been traded to the 76ers, so he’ll no longer be with the Nets.
Claxton will be a nice lineup addition if he suits up, given Aldridge’s absence. With Harden out, look for Kyrie Irving and Patty Mills to be the top options in the backcourt. Blake Griffin will be a nice fantasy/DFS play if Claxton is out.
Bradley Beal (wrist) out for the season
Beal is done for the season, which will likely mean no deadline move. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Spencer Dinwiddie and Deni Avdija will be the key perimeter players in Washington the rest of the way.
Miami Heat vs. New Orleans Pelicans
Tyler Herro (knee) OUT
Update - Herro is listed as active, but will not play Thursday for reasons unknown.
Update - Herro has been downgraded to questionable for Thursday’s game.
Herro has been one of the breakout stars this season. In the unlikely event he sits, Jimmy Butler and Duncan Robinson gain some value in fantasy/DFS formats.
Larry Nance Jr. (knee) OUT, surgery Friday
CJ McCollum (trade) available
Tony Snell (trade) available
Update - Both McCollum and Snell are available to make their debuts for New Orleans Thursday.
Nance Jr. will be out about six weeks with his knee surgery. Jaxson Hayes remains the frontcourt play in New Orleans.
Toronto Raptors vs. Houston Rockets
Eric Gordon (heel) OUT
Update - Gordon has been ruled out, so Green and Tate could be good pickups Thursday in fantasy/DFS lineups.
Gordon is a big trade target. If he doesn’t play, look for Jalen Green and Jae’Sean Tate to be big factors against the Raptors.
Fred VanVleet (groin) OUT
The guard has been ruled out with a groin issue, even though he wasn’t on the injury report earlier. Look for Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anunoby to take over in the backcourt with the All-Star sitting Thursday.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks
Kristaps Porzingis (knee) OUT, traded to Wizards
Update - Porzingis has been traded to the Wizards, with Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans coming back to the Mavs. He’ll continue his rehab in Washington.
Porzingis continues to sit out with his knee injury and the Mavericks are being rightfully cautious given his history. Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell will be the bigs to target Thursday against the Clippers.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Phoenix Suns
Grayson Allen (hip) available
Update - Allen is available to play and could be a nice value option if the Suns focus on Milwaukee’s “Big 3” defensively.
Allen is likely to play, but Donte DiVincenzo and Pat Connaughton could be value plays if he does sit out with the hip issue. This is a big game for the Bucks, who are looking like the class of the Eastern conference at the moment.
New York Knicks vs. Golden State Warriors
RJ Barrett (ankle) OUT
Mitchell Robinson (back) available
Nerlens Noel (knee) OUT
Quentin Grimes (knee) available
Update - After some odd reports coming in throughout the day, Noel has been ruled out and Robinson is available. Fantasy and DFS fans will likely get a bargain with Robinson, especially since this a favorable matchup for him at his position.
Update - Barrett has been formally ruled out, while Grimes is available for the Knicks. Toppin likely gets the start and will be a popular pickup in fantasy/DFS lineups.
The Knicks could be without a huge chunk of their rotation, which is not great news for a team looking to bounce back from some rough games. Obi Toppin and Immanuel Quickley look to be in line for more minutes regardless of how this shakes out Thursday.
Klay Thompson (injury management) available
Otto Porter Jr. (injury management) OUT
Nemanja Bjelica (back) available
Update - Bjelica, who has missed some time with the back injury, will return for Golden State tonight. He’ll be spelling Kevon Looney as the team’s primary big man for much of this game unless the Warriors go small.
Thompson will play after skipping Wednesday’s game, while Porter Jr. will rest Thursday after playing Wednesday. Jordan Poole will continue to get minutes and is a great value play in fantasy/DFS contests, while Jonathan Kuminga could be a sneaky option if the Warriors attempt to play more small-ball lineups.
