11:00 p.m. update Juan Francisco Estrada makes his ring walk, ready to square off with Chocolatito Gonzalez for a third time.
The heavyweight division was in the spotlight Saturday afternoon, but Sunday night will highlight the junior bantamweight division. Juan Francisco Estrada mets Roman Gonzalez in a rubber match to their trilogy of fights. The main card gets started at 8 p.m. ET and the full event airs on DAZN.
This rubber match comes after Estrada won a controversial split decision in March 2021. The fight allowed him to retain the WBC and The Ring titles, and add the WBA (Super) title. That bout came nine years after their first fight, which González via unanimous decision. That bout had been for the junior flyweight title.
The two fighters have been equally active in the title picture across the junior flyweight, flyweight, and junior bantamweight divisions. Estrada has won seven straight bouts since losing a title fight via majority decision to Srisaket Sor Rungvisai. González beat Julio Cesar Martinez in March, in his first bout since his loss to Estrada.
González comes into the bout as the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook. He is a -225 favorite while Estrada is a +175 underdog. The favored outcome is a González decision at -110.

Round 1: Estrada 10-9
Both fighters examining each other, with slight punches thrown. Estrada has Gonzalez on his back foot. Pace is in Estrada’s favor, early round goes to him.
Round 2: Estrada 10-9
Busy round for Estrada, landed a nice upper cut midway through. Gonzalez pacing his punches early, but he could find himself behind in the scorecards. Estrada in control.
Round 3: Gonzalez 10-9
Gonzalez stepping it up now, applying more pressure on Estrada. Couple of body shots land for Chocolatito and momentum building for him. Best burst of the night from Gonzalez, both fighters exchange power blows to end the round. Hang on folks!
Round 4: Estrada 10-9
Here we go, shades of the first two bouts between Estrada and Gonzalez. Estrada firing an uppercut to the body, that pierces Chocolatito. Gonzalez responding with a couple power shots himself, pace brewing and the crowd is loving it. Another strong finish from both to end the round.
Round 5: Estrada 10-9
Estrada putting on a clinic and in full control, solid combinations all around. Chocolatito seems somewhat hesitant. Late right hand from Chocolatito connects, but Estrada looking world class.
Round 6: Estrada 10-9
Left jab and right hand combos landing on Chocolatito. Estrada out muscling Gonzalez at the moment and is in clear control. Chocolatito blows not as strong as usual. Estrada’s blueprint was to throw Chocolatito off his normal stance and it is working.
Round 7: Gonzalez 10-9
Gonzalez busy this round, perhaps turning the corner? Nice solid combo lands to close the round, he’s going to have to fight like this to catch up on the cards. Estrada still comfortable on the ropes, but Chocolatito seems warmed up.
Round 8: Gonzalez 10-9
Gonzalez is in full gear, right hands connecting to Estrada’s body. Chocolatito stepping forward and Estrada no longer landing shots as clean. Chocolatito has turned it up a notch and Estrada must keep his hands up.
Round 9: Gonzalez 10-9
Four punch combinations land cleanly for Chocolatito, Estrada is slowing down after having a lot of control early. Chocolatito now streaming right hands to the body and his timing has improved. Complete momentum shift in favor of Chocolatito.
Round 10: Gonzalez 10-9
Estrada comes out with some crisp combinations, but Chocolatito content with cutting off the ring. This one is going to be close, both fighters digging deep to land punches. Accidential slip causes Chocolatitio to touch the canvas. Chocolatitio ends the round with his foot on the gas, these last two rounds will be crucial.
Round 11: Gonzalez 10-9
Chocolatito leading forward with a flurry of combinations, Estrada not as busy. Left hand jab landing cleanly for Gonzalez, his second wind has been remarkable. Estrada ends with a flurry but Chocolatitio has come from way behind to take control of the bout.
Round 12: Estrada 10-9
What an amazing show put on by both fighters, and it comes down to this. Chocolatito leading with right and left hands. Chocolatito and Estrada leave it all in the ring. Nice body shots by Estrada late. Could we see a fourth between these two men? The judges are now in the driver seat.
