Update: Booker is in for Phoenix, while Ayton is out. The line is now Suns -5 and we’ll go with Phoenix. The Clippers might not be done ruling people out and Booker is a big difference in this game. The total sits at 216.5 and we’ll stick with the under for now but this is more of a toss-up given how Booker can heat up.

Update: The Clippers have ruled out a lot of their players, including Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. There’s no word yet on Booker or Ayton for the Suns but this is probably a game to stay away from on the betting front until right before the final injury reports come out.

The Phoenix Suns (16-12) will meet up with the Los Angeles Clippers (17-13) for the second time this season on Thursday night. Tip is set for 10:30 p.m. ET from Arena as the Suns look to snap a five-game losing skid. The Clippers have won their last three, most recently securing a 99-88 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves Wednesday.

DraftKings Sportsbook has the Clippers as 1.5-point favorites ahead of tonight’s contest, installed at -120 on the board. The Suns are at +100 with the point total set at 217.5.

Suns vs. Clippers, 10:30 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Clippers -1.5

The Suns could be missing some key players in Los Angeles, with Cameron Payne (foot), Cameron Johnson (knee), and Duane Washington Jr. (hip) all ruled out ahead of the Thursday night action. Additionally, Devin Booker (hamstring) and Deandre Ayton (ankle) are both listed as questionable and could cause even more problems for Phoenix if they’re unable to suit up. After going 0-5 SU and ATS through their last five games, the Suns find themselves in desperate need of a win.

On the other side, the Clippers are in the midst of a three-game winning streak as Kawhi Leonard just put in his best performance of the season on Monday. He put up 25 points, nine rebounds, and six assists in their win over the Celtics, followed by a 19 point, eight rebound performance against the Timberwolves on Wednesday. Sure, the Clippers come into tonight’s game on no rest, but they’re in fantastic form as Leonard seems to be returning to his old self. We’ll see if he plays tonight on the second night of a back-to-back set.

The Clippers are 4-1 ATS through their last five games and are trending upward while Phoenix has been in a free fall. I’m taking the Clippers to win and cover at home tonight.

Over/Under: Under 217.5

The Clippers hold the worst scoring mark in the league, averaging just 107.6 points per game throughout the season so far. They also boast the third-best defense in the league thus far, holding teams to an average of 108 points, which improves quite a bit to just 96 ppg allowed through their last three games. Take the under in this one as LA will look to hold Phoenix to under 100, especially if Booker and Ayton don’t see the floor tonight.
