Game day update: Purdy is expected to start, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Quarterback Brock Purdy has been an awesome story for the San Francisco 49ers. After being Mr. Irrelevant in the 2021 NFL Draft, Purdy has a chance to make a playoff run with this talented team. We take a look at his Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks and what it means for fantasy football start/sit decision-making.
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers QB Brock Purdy
Purdy is currently dealing with an oblique injury, and while he is listed as questionable, he is expected to play. Purdy has played the majority of two games as he relieved Jimmy Garoppolo in the first quarter of their matchup with the Dolphins. In those two games, Purdy is 41-58 for 395 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. Kyle Shanahan fully trusts the young quarterback.
The Seattle Seahawks' defense is not very good. They showed that this week against the Carolina Panthers. They’re allowing 218.2 passing yards per game which ranks 18th in the NFL. They have some good pieces for the future like rookie Tariq Woolen, but they’re not there just yet as a defense. As long as Purdy plays, I expect him to have success. Look for around 200 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Start or sit in Week 15?
In both season-long fantasy and DFS, Purdy should start.
