We’ve got eight games on Saturday’s NBA slate, with ABC’s primetime game between the Celtics and Warriors headlining the day. Here’s Saturday’s injury report in the NBA, along with the relevant fantasy and betting implications.
NBA Injury Report: December 10
San Antonio Spurs vs. Miami Heat
Devin Vassell (knee) - available
Update - Vassell is available for the Spurs Saturday.
If Vassell sits, Keldon Johnson is the top offensive option for San Antonio.
Jimmy Butler (knee) - available
Tyler Herro (ankle) - available
Max Strus (shoulder) - available
Update - Butler is in and will start for the Heat.
Update - Herro and Strus are officially in for the Heat.
Everyone should be in for the Heat here.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Indiana Pacers
Ben Simmons (calf) - OUT
Kevin Durant (rest) - OUT
T.J. Warren (injury management) - OUT
Kyrie Irving (groin) - OUT
Joe Harris (injury management) - OUT
Royce O’Neale (personal) - OUT
Seth Curry (injury management) - OUT
Nic Claxton (hamstring) - OUT
Update - The Nets have decided to punt on this one, with eight players being officially ruled out. It might be best to stay away from this game in DFS lineups, but the Pacers against the spread could be a nice bet overall.
With Simmons out and Durant uncertain, Kyrie Irving becomes the lead playmaker for Brooklyn. Joe Harris, Seth Curry and Royce O’Neale gain some value with Warren out.
Tyrese Haliburton (groin) - available
Isaiah Jackson (knee) - available
Update - Both Haliburton and Jackson are in for Indiana.
The Pacers are not going to be outdone by the Nets on the injury report, as they’ve decided to list a few players as well. Haliburton and Jackson should be in but if they aren’t, look for Bennedict Mathurin and Jalen Smith to gain some value in DFS lineups.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Washington Wizards
Reggie Jackson (rest) - OUT
Norman Powell (groin) - OUT
Terance Mann (concussion) - available
Update - Mann is in for the Clippers.
John Wall is a solid play with Jackson out. If Mann comes back, Luke Kennard would lose some value in DFS lineups.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Donovan Mitchell (leg) - OUT
Kevin Love (back) - OUT
Update - Both Mitchell and Love are out for Cleveland.
Mitchell sat out Friday’s game against the Kings, so we’ll see if he plays today. Caris LeVert would be in line to start if Mitchell is out.
Dallas Mavericks vs. Chicago Bulls
Luka Doncic (rest) - OUT
Maxi Kleber (foot) - OUT
Doncic and Kleber have been ruled out tonight for the second night of the back-to-back. Spencer Dinwiddie and Tim Hardaway Jr. likely get more looks as initiators, although Dinwiddie is more suited for the role.
Boston Celtics vs. Golden State Warriors
Robert Williams (knee) - OUT
Williams is close to returning as he’s now on the day-to-day report. Al Horford should remain Boston’s main center for now.
Stephen Curry (ankle) - available
Draymond Green (hip) - available
Andrew Wiggins (groin) - OUT
Update - Wiggins is out, while Curry and Green are officially off the injury report for the Warriors.
Curry and Green should be back. Expect big Jonathan Kuminga minutes if Wiggins is out again.
Utah Jazz vs. Denver Nuggets
Mike Conley (rest) - OUT
Jordan Clarkson (hip) - OUT
Collin Sexton (hamstring) - OUT
Lauri Markkanen (illness) - OUT
Update - So much for Clarkson being a DFS add. He’s been ruled out with a hip injury, so it’s anyone’s clue as to who Utah tasks with leading this offense. Markkanen is also out, so Malik Beasley might have some additional value. It might be best to stay away from the Jazz in this game when it comes to bets and fantasy basketball.
Update - Conley has been ruled out and will get some rest. With Collin Sexton also sidelined, Jordan Clarkson becomes a great DFS play Saturday.
We’ll see how hard the Jazz push Conley on the second night of a back-to-back set.
Jamal Murray (knee) - available
Update - Murray is in for the Nuggets.
Given Murray’s history with knee injuries, I expect the Nuggets to take the cautious approach here. If Murray is ruled out or limited, Bones Hyland should see significant minutes at point guard.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Portland Trail Blazers
Josh Hart (ankle) - available
Update - Hart is in for the Blazers.
If Hart were to get ruled out, Justise Winslow and Shaedon Sharpe would gain some value in DFS lineups.
