Paul George, Zion Williamson, Klay Thompson headline NBA injury report for Monday, November 21

We’ve got eight games on Monday’s NBA slate, anchored by a doubleheader on NBATV. Here’s a look at Monday’s injury report, along with the relevant fantasy and betting implications.

NBA Injury Report: November 21

Atlanta Hawks vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

De’Andre Hunter (illness) - OUT

Update - Hunter has been ruled out, which gives Johnson a boost in fantasy/DFS formats.

Hunter is a late add to the injury report with an illness. If he doesn’t play, the Hawks will likely go with Jalen Johnson as the primary small forward in Monday’s game.

Kevin Love (thumb) - available
Caris LeVert (ankle) - OUT

Update - Love is in for the Cavaliers. Lamar Stevens is replacing LeVert in the starting lineup instead of Okoro.

Update - LeVert has been ruled out for Monday’s game with an ankle issue, which likely puts Isaac Okoro in Cleveland’s starting lineup.

Love was upgraded to questionable Sunday before being ruled out and the team is classifying this as a day-to-day injury. If Love sits, that means more minutes for Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen in the frontcourt.

Orlando Magic vs. Indiana Pacers

Wendell Carter Jr. (foot) - OUT

Update - Carter Jr. has been ruled out, which means Bamba should be a bigger factor in this game.

Carter Jr. sat the second game of a back-to-back Saturday, so he should be good to go Monday. If he doesn’t play, Mo Bamba will have a bigger role on the interior for Orlando.

Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls

Marcus Smart (ankle) - available

After missing a few games, Smart is back on the floor for Boston. This likely pushes Payton Pritchard out of the rotation and cuts into Derrick White’s bench minutes.

Portland Trail Blazers vs. Milwaukee Bucks

Damian Lillard (calf) - OUT, expected to miss 1-2 weeks

Lillard aggravated his calf injury Saturday and the team is going to be more cautious this time around. Anfernee Simons will be the lead point guard and Shaedon Sharpe might also get some extended run with Lillard out.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) - available

Update - Despite some delays, the expectation of Antetokounmpo playing has come to fruition. He’s starting Monday night.

The Greek Freak has battled a knee issue at times during the season and has usually suited up as long as he’s not on a back-to-back set. This is a new injury but one that shouldn’t keep him out of the lineup. The Blazers are a formidable opponent even without Lillard and Milwaukee has been off a bit of late, so expect Antetokounmpo to suit up tonight.

Miami Heat vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Tyler Herro (ankle) - OUT
Bam Adebayo (knee) - available
Jimmy Butler (knee) - OUT
Gabe Vincent (knee) - OUT
Duncan Robinson (ankle) - OUT

Update - Vincent has been ruled out, while Adebayo is on track to play. We’ll list him as available for when the Heat eventually say he’s good. Adebayo will be a big boost against Minnesota’s strong interior tandem of Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert.

Update - Adebayo and Vincent are questionable while Robinson has been ruled out.

The injury problems in Miami continue. It’s hard to tell what this rotation will look like, so we’ll wait for the full report to come out before offering more advice.

Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Klay Thompson (injury management) - OUT
Stephen Curry (undisclosed) - OUT
Draymond Green (undisclosed) - OUT
Andrew Wiggins (undisclosed) - OUT
Kevon Looney (undisclosed) - available

Update - Wiggins has been ruled out. The Warriors are going with Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, Anthony Lamb and Donte DiVincenzo as their starters instead of Curry, Thompson, Green and Wiggins. Looney is in and will start for Golden State.

Update - It looks like the Warriors are punting this one, with Curry, Thompson and Green all listed out. Wiggins and Looney are questionable. Poole and Moody remain good value adds here.

If Steve Kerr’s words from earlier this season are true, Thompson will sit this part of the back-to-back set. Jordan Poole and Moses Moody would be in for more minutes if this happens.

Zion Williamson (foot) - available
Trey Murphy (foot) - OUT

Update - Murphy has been ruled out for Monday’s game, which opens up minutes for Naji Marshall off the bench.

Update - Williamson makes his return to the floor and will not have a minutes limit in this game.

After missing three games, Williamson is set to return for the Pelicans. This will take away from CJ McCollum and Brandon Ingram in terms of shots.

New York Knicks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

No notable day-to-day injuries for either team at this time.

Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Clippers

Mike Conley (knee) - OUT, expected to miss two weeks

Conley avoided a serious injury but the Jazz are going to be without him for some time. Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson will take on bigger roles as Utah tries to keep its hot start going.

Paul George (knee) - OUT

Update - George has been ruled out and he also has a hamstring strain, which will impact his timeline when it comes to a return.

George suffered this injury Saturday and left the game but said afterwards he expects to play Monday. The Clippers finally have both their stars back, so they might not want to chance things with George. If he sits, Norman Powell and Nicolas Batum will see more run.
